Downland Hideaway is a beautifully renovated countryside cottage set close to the foot of the South Downs. Created for couples, families and small groups, it combines warm natural materials, contemporary interiors and the relaxed character of a traditional Sussex home.
The open-plan kitchen and living area is designed for easy shared meals and quiet evenings, with wide windows framing the surrounding landscape. Three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private garden provide space to unwind after a day of walking, cycling, visiting vineyards or exploring Brighton.
Guests can enjoy peaceful village surroundings while remaining within easy reach of the coast, local pubs, independent cafés and many of Sussex's best-known attractions.

What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Earlier arrival or later departure may occasionally be available by prior agreement.
Is parking available?
Yes. There is free private parking for two cars beside the cottage.
Are dogs allowed?
One well-behaved dog is welcome by prior agreement. Please keep dogs off beds and furniture and clean up after them in the garden.
Is the cottage suitable for children?
Yes. A travel cot, highchair, children's tableware, books and a small selection of games are available.
How far is Brighton?
Central Brighton is approximately 25 minutes away by car, depending on traffic.
Can we walk directly from the property?
Yes. Several local footpaths connect to routes across the South Downs, including walks towards Devil's Dyke and nearby villages.
Is there an EV charger?
Yes. A 7 kW EV charger is available for guests. Usage instructions are provided after booking.
How do we receive access instructions?
The key-safe location, access code and arrival directions are sent securely on the morning of check-in.
